With our superb pools and wonderful beach, we can’t blame you if you choose to spend your time relaxing around the hotel.

We offer various activities, such as water aerobics and entertainment – live bands and cultural shows in the Mirror Lounge by the Pool Bar in the evening. We also have our own nightclub and disco. As one of the few five-star hotel nightclubs in the area, we are also popular with the locals, and there can be a good crowd on Friday and Saturday nights.

If you’d like to explore a bit further, there’s plenty to see in the local area, especially if you’re a nature lover. You can learn what the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery is doing to help save local turtles, or go on a river trip on theMadu Ganga to see mangrove forests and prawn fishermen. Alternatively, you can take to the sea to go whale watching.

If you’re interested in local culture and lifestyle, the nearest village of Ambalangoda is known for its antiques and masks, or you can see how moonstones are mined.

It’s also fascinating to compare the landscaping styles of the Bawa brothers – hotel architect Geoffrey at Lunuganga and his younger sibling Bevis at Brief Garden

Slightly further afield, Galle is worth a visit for its brooding fort and colonial history.
