Experience a unique ride in an “Angula”, the Sinhala name for a high floating raft. As part of our green philosophy we do not use motor boats and take great care to ensure that we do not pollute the lake. Visit the bird island in the centre of the lake where Egrets, Herons and Storks root at night and fly away in the morning. Enjoy the sunset from the lake and watch the birds settle down on tree tops for the night. Let the gentle swaying of the boat soothe you into a state of complete serenity.
Enhance the experience of our boat ride by including a special “bird watching from the water” package. You can also extend the one hour boat ride into a full two hour Lake Safari.
