Sri Lanka is a paradise for birds, with 435 recorded species, including 233 resident species, of which 26 are endemic. These include Babblers, Barbets, Bulbuls, Parakeets, Woodpeckers, Raptors, Sunbirds, Flower Peckers, Fly Catchers and Waders. Sri Lanka enjoys visits of migratory birds from as far away as Europe and Siberia. The Minneriya National Park, to which we offer a Jeep safari, is a famous bird sanctuary close to the Heritance Kandalama.
