Bird Watching

At 6.30am the air is filled with birdsong – it’s one of the best times to spot some of the 233 resident species. Brahminy kites soar overhead while one of our resident naturalists, Piyasena (see below) or Nalinda , helps you distinguish the different calls.

“When the lake is full you can also go on a birdwatching trip by boat to get closer to some of the water species.”
